A Chat room is an area on the internet where you can exchange live messages with other users. It is ideal for getting to know someone but be warned the majority of chat users are men and they are mainly looking for sex or just a frill. You should initially take any information you receive casually and never give any sensitive information away as it could easily be misused by others.
Some rooms allow voice and cam chat, good for friends but again be warned if you dare to cam with another user you would most likely receive an image of an erect penis, apparently this is how the men try to mate. Also some users may show a previously recorded clip and pretend it is them. It is also possible to record the chat you are having including the cam and voice information.
Beware the FAKE
They will go to great lengths to persuade you to send pictures, profile numbers or even try to get you to show yourself on cam.
They play a crawl physiological game with real couples attempting to make them frustrated by insinuating they are fake.
Some real couples or single females then feel compelled to show them selves, the fibber then usually complains that the image is blurry or he cannot see your faces clear enough, eventually you realise that this person has no intention of showing his self as he is indeed fake.
It is a sick crewel act and we feel the people responsible for this kind of action should seek professional medical and or physiological help.

Usually this annoying term is used to find out if the person you are talking to is a likely date.
Age should never be asked while Sex is obvious but often leads to confusion, it should be either M for M ale and F for F emale.

Live is where you usually live thus a contact from Killermongawoer is not really much good if you are in Britain, likewise stating you are in the UK is not much good if you are in a UK chat room. Naming the Town or just the County is better and allows others to look for people close by.

Profile = Is information about yourself. Main chat channels like MSN and Yahoo have a filicity to make your own profile or homepage, hear you can add information obout yourself and what you are looking for. Most also allow you to add your own pictures. Again treat information with caution.
Cam = A cam or camera is a device used for sending live images.
